The Light Adjustable Lens is the first and only intraocular lens that can be customized after cataract surgery. Once your eye has healed, your vision is fine-tuned through a short series of painless UV light treatments.
That means your final prescription is set based on how your eye actually healed, not just pre-surgical predictions, delivering an extra level of precision for patients who want their best possible vision.

LAL treatment requires multiple appointments over several weeks. Your vision can change between treatments, and you may need additional adjustments before your final vision is achieved.
Please do not plan vacations, extended travel, or other commitments that would prevent you from attending your scheduled appointments during the LAL treatment period. Appointments are time-sensitive and need to be completed according to your treatment schedule.
You should expect at least 3 light-treatment visits, and some patients may require up to 5 visits depending on their vision:
Please plan accordingly: LAL treatment can require appointments over 6–7 weeks following surgery. Because your adjustments and lock-in treatments are time-sensitive, please avoid booking vacations or extended travel during this period. If you already have travel plans, please discuss them with our team before proceeding with LAL surgery.
Two to four short light treatments in the weeks after surgery refine your prescription.
Preview and adjust your vision before it is permanently locked in.
